Our Story
The Escape Key opened its doors In Newcastle in 2017 and has become known for creating outstanding escape room experiences. We love to take our inspiration from the North East's heritage and craft immersive experience to entertain and inform. Our latest game, Electric City is about saving Newcastle's proud industrial past - did you know Newcastle was the first city in the entire world to be lit by electricity?

The Covid pandemic forced us to close our doors for large parts of 2020 and 2021. People were being advised to spend more time outside so we developed the concept of outdoor escape games. Again we based these on local history and stories.Rosie's Charm is an exciting outdoor mystery adventure played through the streets of Newcastle where players have to solve puzzles to unravel this tragic tale, find Rosie's charm and work out what happened her beloved Mr. Alexander?
This game has been a huge success with hundreds of people playing it so it was quickly followed up with Thirteen Ghosts
